Approach God with Care… and come boldly into His presence

Approach God with Care… and come boldly into His presence

As you enter the house of God, keep your ears open and your mouth shut.

It is evil to make mindless offerings to God.

Don’t make rash promises, and don’t be hasty in bringing matters before God.

After all, God is in heaven, and you are here on earth.

So let your words be few.

Too much activity gives you restless dreams …too many words make you a fool.

When you make a promise to God, don’t delay in following through, for God takes no pleasure in fools.

Keep all the promises you make to God.

It is better to say nothing …than to make a promise and not keep it.

Don’t let your mouth make you sin.

And don’t defend yourself by (saying) that the promise you made was a mistake.

That would make God angry, and He might wipe out everything you have achieved.

Talk is cheap, like daydreams and other useless activities.

Fear God instead…

(Love God so much that it makes you sick to think that you might hurt God’s heart)

—————————————

For the Word of God is alive and powerful…

It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow…

It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires.

Nothing in all creation is hidden from God.

Everything is naked and exposed before His eyes, and He is the one to whom we are accountable.

So then, since we have a great High Priest who has entered heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to what we believe.

This High Priest of ours understands our weaknesses, for He faced all of the same testings we do, yet He did not sin.

So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God.

There we will receive His mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most.

Ecclesiastes 5:1–7

Hebrews 4:12–16 (NLT)

Praise be to God!
